76ers Trade for Jimmy Butler

HOLY SHIT PEOPLE IT HAPPENED

Brett Brown went “stah huntin'” and Jimmy Butler is a Philadelphia 76er!!!!

Butler has been wanting a trade since the beginning of the year because he doesn’t get along with KAT and Wiggins and he finally gets it as he will he sent to Philadelphia.

In exchange the Sixers will give up Dario Saric, Robert Covington, Jerryd Bayless and a second round pick. They also will acquire Justin Patton from the Wolves. I will be pretty upset to see Dario and RoCo go but, I am extremely happy to be getting Jimmy Butler. A lot of people have called his attitude a problem, but I love it. The dude wants to win plain and simple and won’t accept his teammates being lazy or not working as hard as him.

Last year Butler averaged 22.2 points, 4.9 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 2 steals and shot 47% per game. So far this season he is averaging 21.3 points, 4.3 assists, 5.2 rebounds and shooting 47% per game. Butler is also a great defender so he will fill in for All NBA defender Robert Covington.

Woj also tweeted out that Butler and the Sixers expect to agree to a long term deal this summer. This is great news for the Sixers!

All in all, I will be sad to see Dario and Cov go, they will always hold a special place in the hearts of Sixers fans. However, I think I speak for all Sixers fans when I say I AM FUCKIN PUMPED UP ABOUT THIS! We got a borderline top 10 player in the NBA who plays great defense and we also kept the Heat first round pick. I cannot wait to see Butler play his first game with the Sixers, this was a much needed addition. TRUST THE PROCCESS
