Wall of Fame Night

Last night was a beautiful night for baseball, blue skies faded into bright lights at Citizen’s Bank Park. August 4th was Wall of Fame night. Through tears and cheers, the late Roy Halladay (Doc)  and Pat Gillick were enshrined as the 2018 Toyota Wall of Fame inductees. Halladay was honored with speeches from former manager, Charlie Manuel, as well as former pitching coach Rich Dubee. His wife Brandi, and two sons were in attendance for the induction. Brandi gave a heartfelt speech and shared an amazing video tribute honoring Doc. Gillick received the ed Wall of Fame executive blazer and former pitcher Jamie Moyer spoke. Phillies Alumni were out in droves, many starters from the 08 team sat teary-eyed during the Halladay tribute in which Brandi spoke on how much the City of Philadelphia means to her and her family. The night was capped off with a great 8-3 win in which four different Phillies went deep.
