Today, one of the best lockdown cornerbacks, Darrell Revis, has announced his retirement at the age of 33.
This 7x pro bowler had played for 11 years, 8 with the Jets. He was named a First-Team All Pro 4 times in his career with his most impressive year being in 2014, where he won a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots.
For his career, he had defended 140 passes, 29 interceptions, 411 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 12 fumble recoveries, and 3 touchdowns. Revis gave his spot on the field the nickname of “Revis Island” due to his lockdown ability on the opposing teams receivers.
